NOLA YOUTH FILM FEST CALLS FOR ENTRIES (JUNE 1 EXTENDED DEADLINE)
The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS) and the University of New Orleans (UNO) Department of Film, Theatre and Communication Arts presents the 1st annual NOLA Youth Film Fest, a celebration of the work of New Orleans’ young filmmakers. Scheduled for Saturday, June 9th at the Robert E. Nims Theatre at the UNO Performing Arts Center, the film festival will showcase a collection of the finest films from the media departments of New Orleans area highschools, including music video, documentary, narrative and animated films

NEW ORLEANS FILM FESTIVAL (NOFF) CALLS FOR ENTRIES (JUNE 4 EXTENDED DEADLINE)
Named one of the 25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee by MovieMaker Magazine, NOFS is seeking new and original films completed on or after July 1, 2011, and are accepting films in eight categories: narrative feature, narrative short, documentary feature, documentary short, animated short, experimental short, Louisiana feature, and Louisiana short. We accept films via Withoutbox secure online links and we welcome DVDs.

NOVAC’s 40 SECOND FILM FESTIVAL CALLS FOR ENTRIES (AUGUST 30 DEADLINE)
Having nurtured the voices and artistic expression of New Orleans and Louisiana filmmakers for four decades, NOVAC is celebrating its 40th Anniversary by showcasing the community voices that have taken the New Orleans Video Access Center from its grass-roots beginnings to the dynamic production hub and training center it is today.
The 40 Second Film Festival, scheduled to coincide with NOVAC’s 40th Anniversary Gala is now accepting micro shorts from 40 seconds to 1 minute and 40 seconds in length from NOVAC and community members in 3 categories: Short Cuts, Young People’s Corner and Citizen Voices. You don’t need a fancy camera rig or film school pedigree, just a video, a vision and a voice.
