CITY OF NEW ORLEANS ISSUES FILMING NOTICE

NEW ORLEANS, LA—Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice to New Orleans residents in the Uptown area and in the French Quarter neighborhood.

On Saturday, October 26, a production company will be filming scenes at Tulane University on St. Charles Avenue from 8 a.m. to noon. Filming will involve simulated gunfire and pyrotechnics. Uniformed officers will be on location to monitor safety and facilitate the production crew’s work.

On Sunday, October 27 and Monday, October 28, the same production company will be filming scenes in the lower Decatur Street area. Filming will involve simulated gunfire from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Department will be on site to monitor safety and facilitate the production crew’s work.

Film New Orleans within the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
