FILMING NOTICES FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FRENCH QUARTER
NEW ORLEANS – Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued filming notices to residents in the French Quarter.
On Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, a production company will film exterior scenes on Charters Street at Wilkinson Row. As a result, the specified street will close from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 and Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, a production company will film exterior scenes on the 900-1000 blocks of Royal Street and on the 600-700 blocks of St. Philip Street. As a result, the intersections of Royal Street and Ursulines Avenue and Bourbon and St. Philip Streets and Ursulines Avenue and Royal Street will close from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. both days.
The New Orleans Fire Department and law enforcement officers will be on site ensure public safety and to help facilitate the work.
Film New Orleans within the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2014, New Orleans hosted 60 tax credit film projects (TV, films, and commercials with budgets over $300,000), with direct spending of roughly $509 million.
