NOVAC (The New Orleans Video Access Center)
NOVAC'S mission is to foster the creation and appreciation of film and video in the New Orleans area for a public of diverse ages, income levels and backgrounds. NOVAC accomplishes this mission through education, career development, community outreach, independent productions, and special events.
Through their Louisiana Film Crew Training Program, NOVAC offers courses on how to be a Production Assistant, Set Construction, Scenic Painting, how to be a Grip or Electrician. These courses are offered free of charge and are taught by film industry professionals. However, class sizes are limited!
The NOVAC Teen Camp is a one week digital filmmaking camp for area teens. The camp will introduce students to digital filmmaking production and discuss career opportunities in film and television production.

University of New Orleans Film Arts Program
The goal of UNO Film Arts Program is to train the independent filmmaker to give their students the best chance of success in the technical and competitive profession of filmmaking. UNO has one of the most technically advanced film programs in the country. It includes a motion capture facility and state-of-the-art digital post-production editing and audio suites. Students have the opportunity to explore the full range of the communication arts, from high-tech digital animation to documentary and dramatic film production and live performance.
The Undergraduate Program is founded on a liberal arts education terminating in a 120 credit-hour baccalaureate degree.
The Masters Program is an accredited, terminal, 60-hour MFA.

Delgado Community College
Delgado Community College offers a versatile program in Film and Video Production offering a Diploma Program (one year or more depending upon the focus of your study) or a Certifacte Program (less than one year). The Certificate Program allows for short term job trainning for a quick transition into the workforce. The courses focus on the technical aspects of Film and Video production.
